
Roasted cinnamon pears
Ingredients (serves 4)
* 4 pears (see note)
* extra light olive oil spray
* 1 tablespoon caster sugar
* 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
* low-fat ice-cream, to serve
* extra cinnamon, for sprinkling (optional)
Method
1. Preheat oven to 180°C. Peel pears and cut into quarters. Remove cores. Place in a large roasting pan lined with baking paper. Spray with oil.
2. Add combined sugar and cinnamon. Toss to coat. Roast for 20 minutes or until pears are tender and golden.
3. Serve roasted pears with low-fat ice-cream and sprinkle with extra cinnamon, if desired.
Notes & tips
* Note: Pears should be just ripe.
