Lemon poppyseed swirls


Makes 30

Ingredients
* 1 quantity Basic butter biscuit dough (see related recipe)
* 1/2 cup lemon butter
* 2 tablespoons poppyseeds


Method
1. Follow steps 1 to 2 for making Basic butter biscuit dough. Divide dough in half.
2. Roll each piece of dough between 2 lightly floured sheets of baking paper to make two 20cm x 30cm rectangles. Spread each rectangle with 1/4 cup lemon butter and sprinkle with poppyseeds.
3. Starting from 1 long end, roll up each rectangle like a swiss roll. Wrap in plastic wrap. Freeze for 1 hour or until semi-frozen.
4. Using a sharp knife, carefully cut rolls into 1.5cm-thick slices. Place on prepared lined baking trays. Bake for 15 to 18 minutes, swapping trays over in oven after 12 minutes, or until light golden. Allow to cool completely on trays. Serve.
