Mango Lassi

An authentic mango lassi requires perfectly ripe, tender mangoes. At the market, look for fruit that feels heavy for its size and gives off a sweet, heady perfume.

Ingredients Serves 2 1/2 cups
1 cup fresh mango *
1 cup plain yogurt**
1/4 cup sugar
12–14 ice cubes

.* If fresh mangos are unavailable, use the lucious, canned Alfonso mangos available in Indian markets or online stores like

**Use best quality and full-fat yogurt with no preservatives.

1. Peel, remove the seed, and slice the mangos into small pieces measuring two cups. Place in your blender.

2. Add the yogurt, sugar, and ice cubes and process until smooth.

3. Serve immediately.
