Summer Recipe

Send your taste buds skipping back to childhood with fresh homemade lemonade. Of course squeezing your own lemons takes a little extra time, but isn’t slowing down a bit what summer’s all about?

Ingredients Serves 36 ounces
3 1/2 cups water
1 cup freshly squeezed lemon juice*
1 lemon, sliced thinly
½–1 cup granulated sugar
* 4–6 large lemons.

Directions
1. Strain the lemon juice into a large pitcher. Discard the pulp and seeds.

2. Add the water and sugar and mix until the sugar dissolves.

3. Slice the lemon into thin slices and add them to the pitcher. Cover the pitcher with plastic wrap and refrigerate the lemonade until cold. Do not add ice or the lemon slices won’t float.

Preparation time: 5 minutes.
